Come and join us for a trip to the Flower Garden Banks National Marine Sanctuary. The sanctuary is located between 70 and 120 miles offshore of Galveston, TX.

 

 

The Flower Garden Banks (FGB) are salt domes that rise from the sea floor. The unique topography of the this area is home to many aquatic species. There are approximately three hundred species of fish and over twenty species of coral in the FGB. The FGB are a Nationally Protected Marine Sanctuary and provide habitat for many threatened species fish and coral.

  • We recommend that divers be Advanced Open Water certified prior going on the trip.
  • Enriched Air/Nitrox is recommended. If you would like to get certified, please click here.
  • A dive computer is a HIGHLY recommended.
  • Each diver must have carry a Surface Marker Buoy (SMB).
  • Prices include tank rental, but not weights.
  • Gear rental (BCD, wetsuit, regulator set, weights, and dive computer) available from Gulf Coast Scuba.
  • For night dives, each buddy team is required to have two primary lights, one backup light, and two tank lights.
